Recently we had a visiting minister here in Belton, Texas and during his message he made the comment that he was from Houston (bad memory on my part I forget his name) made the statement that you have not truly been taught the love of God unless you were brought up under the leadership of Rev. C L Dees and his comment brought back a rush of tears of great memories of lessons Bro. Dees shared with us.
I guess it's just that our family Sis. Ruth Cooper, my sister Debbie and myself are very honored to have lived under the teachings of the love of God as so many other did. It humbles my heart to hear Aunt Ruth during her prayer time raise Sis. Dees' name to the Lord before anyone else.

Sister Dees,
The last time I saw you and Brother Dees was at my mother's funeral service. You'll remember her as Garvis Nell Brashear. As with every time I saw you, Bro. Dees and you greeted me with those big smiles and warm hugs. I remember attending the church in Cleveland with Grandmother Brashear and sitting in the back of the church with your son Corlis. I think I was about 10 years old. Although that's been almost 50 years ago, I have never forgotten Bro. Dees' messages about treating others your very best and using the talents that God has given you to their fullest. God Bless you. My prayers are with you and your family.

Where would my family be without the ministry of Bro. Dees? We came to Irvington without any knowledge of the Holy Ghost and Jesus Name. May God Bless the family with comfort and love. Thank you for the legacy, Bro. Dees! Rest in your reward.

Sister Dees,
"O, How I Love Him!" rings in my heart as I remember Bro. Dees leading us in worship. I loved/love you and Bro. Dees so much!!! Probably never a day goes by without a verbal or mental reminder of his ministry in our lives. I absolutely loved being pastored by you both. He always said the first step in backsliding is lack of gratitude ... well, I am grateful...there's just never seemed to be a way to show either of you my heartfelt gratitude. So, I'll just say "I love you"! I'm so sorry to have missed the funeral but only tonight at church did I learn that Bro. Dees is "present with the Lord" ... the author & finisher of our faith!

Words fail me to express the way that I feel about my first pastor. The 5 years that I was priviledged to be under his ministry are the most valuable ones and I will always cherish them. He will be greatly missed, but will be in our thoughts always. God Bless you Bro. Dees as you join the great cloud of witnesses to cheer us on to the end.
Sis. Dees, I love you and admire you and if you ever need me I am here. 281-580-2252

I will remember Bro. Dees with the fondness and tenderness that he always expressed. My encounters with him were few but were filled with the kindness and respect that he was known for. His legacy lives on in all of us.

My heart is so heavy to think of the void that is left with the loss of such a great one. Though the sorrow we feel as friends and admirers is truly great, no doubt that which is experienced by the family members is even greater. But in our sadness, let us not forget that he has finally reached that goal of which he had dreamed and preached his whole life through. In the realizations of this incredible truth we find not only an escape from our grief, but even a measure of joy.
To the Dees family, our prayers are with you!
May God bless you;

Bro. and Sis. Dees brought the true gospel to me in 1983. Through their love and kindness I was born again and began my new life as a new creature in Christ. I would love Bro. Dees' wednesday evening chalk board bible studies. His humor was a real delight as was his facial expressions. He was a true friend of God and His light was seen by thousands threw Bro. Dees ministries. I have loved him and will miss him; but as he often said at other's funerals "don't walk too fast, I'll see you in the morning"; you have your healing now!God Bless his family and especially wonderful amazing Sis. Dees.

Bro. Dees,
Just wanted you to know that I met my wonderful husband at a singles convention at you church in Houston in November, 1987. We were married on Feb. 26, 1988. It's been the best 23 years of my life. I'll never forget the services at your church during that time.
